INTRODUCTION
Our student-exchange programme allows partner institutions to send their students to study at MAHSA University for up to two consecutive semesters. Tuition fees will be waived for exchange students at MAHSA University. Costs of accommodation, food, visa, insurance and other necessary amenities will be borne by students.

VISA & INSURANCE
All exchange students who intend to study in Malaysia are required to apply for student passes via Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the appointed agency by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education.
Visa Requirements
- Passports must have a minimum of 15 months validity
- Full copy of passport, coloured (ALL pages including the empty pages); coloured personal-detail page
- Passport-sized photos (4 pieces) with WHITE background (35mm x 45mm)
- CTC Academic certificates and other relevant certificates
- MAHSA University Mobility application form
- Nomination letter from home institution (in letterhead)
- Pre-Visa Approval letter (VAL), medical screening report and lab reports from EMGS registered overseas clinics
- Visa & health insurance fees
- The offer letter stating that you have been offered placement to undergo a Mobility Course in Malaysia.
- A passport photo with a white background. A letter from your current university stating that you are enrolled as a full-time student. Alternatively, a copy of your student matriculation card (certified as a true copy by your current university).
- Single-Entry Visa (SEV) with VAL reference is required for selected nationalities entering Malaysia as students. The list of countries is available at :www.imi.gov.my
- Pre-Arrival Medical Screening Health Examination Report. Mobility students who are citizens of the 15 countries listed below are exempted from pre-arrival medical screening :

Student Insurance
- It is mandatory for all exchange students who intend to study in Malaysia to have medical and health insurance
- The medical and health insurance package can be procured through EMGS
Cost of Visa and Insurance
Full payment via telegraphic transfer for the following:
- Education Malaysia Global Services and Processing Fees at USD160
- Hospitalization & Surgical Insurance at USD110
- IKad for foreign students issued by EMGS at USD20
- Student Pass and Visa Fees at USD60
ACCOMMODATION
MAHSA University Residences provide both on-campus and off-campus accommodation. Students have a choice of single, twin, triple and quadruple sharing (options are subject to availability). Students will need to fill in the MAHSA University Residences application form and submit it with visa application documents. Residences Application Form

All exchange students must attend the orientation - Welfare Support From International Student Services and Global Mobility Services
Students can get support on non-academic matters and welfare support from International Student Services Office (ISSO) and Global Mobility Services (GMS) - Local Buddy Programme
Students can opt for a buddy for getting around the university and adjusting to university life at MAHSA as well as getting acquainted with the local culture - Student Success Centre
Students can utilise the Student Success Centre for workshops and consultation on academic matters
COST OF LIVING
Cost of living in Malaysia is relatively affordable. On a weekly basis, students may spend an average of RM400 - RM500 (excluding accommodation) which is an equivalent of USD100 -USD120.
